This is a Live Radio Call that Dawson McAllister took on his Sunday night Radio show, "Dawson McAllister Live", from a young woman named Charley. She wanted somebody to love her and started to having sex with multiple guys looking for that guy that loved and cared for her. It turned in to sex addiction and she called Dawson desperately looking for hope and help.

I Hate Getting Hurt

Dawson: What’s going on with you?

Charley: I’m struggling with some things, right now, since August of 2007 I’ve changed so much. I had oral sex with one guy and then everything just went downhill.  I did it over, over and over again until July of last year since then I’ve had sex with over 5 different guys, and I don’t know what to do about that.

Charley (crying): I keep thinking these guys care about me I keep thinking maybe it’ll lead to something and every time it doesn’t my heart just gets so broken. And I hate getting hurt.

Dawson: Well, it’s insanity to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Do you think maybe you have some kind of hole in your soul? Or some kind of an ache that you’re trying to cover over with sex? What do you want from these guys?

Charley (Crying): I want somebody to love me.

Dawson: Here’s what you’re doing, you’re not protecting yourself at all. You started doing sex for attention and for love and the next thing you know, your borderline addicted to it.  Until you deal with your compulsions and your addictions, you’re not going to be able to get to the bottom of why you started this to begin with…what you were looking for.

Dawson: You better tell your parents about this. Tell them the whole thing

Charley: Yeah (crying)

Dawson: And I assure you that if you don’t get some real help, you’ll be back where you started.
