What's In Your Heart?
Hi, this is Dawson McAllister and I want to talk to you about my truck. You know this truck is 6 or 7 years old. So, if you looked at it the way it was 6 or 7 years ago and compare it to now there are all kinds of issues. What's the point here? You go through life; you get dinged up. Every which way. But what really makes this truck good...is the engine. It's got almost 130,000 miles on it and I have religiously put in oil.
When Hurts Come
What goes on with us is all under the hood. What kind of heart do you have? As long as you can keep your heart intact when hurts come, lies, confusion, fear, panic...if you can ask God to help you keep the engine going, you'll be a lot happier. What would you rather have, a beautiful car with a lousy engine or a not so beautiful car with a great engine?
"People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7b)
What's really important is what's under our hood and what's in our hearts!
