"I Was Very Seriously Considering Suicide."
"Hi, my name is Chelsea. I was dealing with so much when the hope line and an email mentor helped me. I was cutting myself daily and I very seriously considering suicide. I was raped a few years prior, and I just had so many problems. When I was 15, I found out that I was pregnant, and that’s when I remembered the hope line and requested an email mentor. She was there for me through so much. Now my daughter is a happy little one-year-old little girl. I believe TheHopeLine and my daughter saved my life. Thank you…so much"

Dawson McAllister received this letter about how an email mentor made a difference,
“Hi, Dawson! I just stopped by your page to say how your program and TheHopeLine has helped overcome an issue a year ago. I had a problem of the heart where yeah, I fell in love, and the other person just broke off and disappeared, without any proper message and whatnot. I didn’t know what to do and was crying myself for weeks.
I suddenly remembered TheHopeLine and took a chance on getting anything that could help me and make me feel better. I got connected to a mentor, which was very helpful, and sympathized well with me. He showed me how much he understands, and taught me how to slowly get rid of the heartbreak, as of course, it’s not instant. He actually made me write the girl a letter saying goodbye, and then I sent it. It wasn’t the official end of the heartbreak, as it was still a long journey, but my mentor’s help made me feel a lot better, he made me feel I wasn’t alone. And most importantly, that God is with me. After all this, I also discovered your radio show, and through it, I felt that I wasn’t alone, and there are people who can help me. I listened day in and day out, even when the radio show has looped already, haha! The show is just full of hope.
So yeah, thanks a million to your program, and the TheHopeLine. God has given this great gift to all of us, which reminds us that we’re not alone, and our problems are not to be carried alone. Dawson and to the gang, thank you so much.”

Taylor wrote to TheHopeLine to tell us how her email mentor helped her, “I have been cutting as a result of depression and severe anxiety. I started when I was 15 years old, and I am now 19 years old. I have been on TheHopeLine for a few months now and I have to say that they have helped me through the hard times I have had. They connected me to two mentors and have made my connection with the Lord much stronger than ever before from the resources they sent me. I really appreciate the people who I chatted with. Thank you, HopeLine!!!!”
