Gretchen Lawson: I'm so glad that you're watching this video, especially if you're feeling scared, you're feeling some feelings of depression, and you're worried that they might lead to self-harm. There are some signs that you can be looking for. If you are abusing alcohol or drugs, that can be a warning sign. If you're having problems at work, if you're having problems in a relationship, if you are having problems at school where you didn't have problems before, there are changes in your sleep habits or patterns, those can be warning signs. If you find yourself isolating from other people, that can also be a warning sign. If you're not doing the things that you used to enjoy, if you use to enjoy going out for a walk every day and you find yourself not doing that anymore, that can be a sign. It's really good, if you are worried and concerned, to talk to someone. There is hope that how you're feeling and what you're thinking right now will not feel this intense.
